| Drain Lining
The drain relining system is a proven and established
method of placing a new pipe within an existing pipe with no excavation
and with minimal disruption. the new pipe material is similar to
GRP (glass re-inforced plastic) and in all cases will be superior
in quality and strength to the pipe which it lines. the new pipe
is moldered into the damaged pipe by an ingenious method called
"inversion" using air pressure, fitting it tightly against
the wall of the existing pipe.
When the "inversion" is complete the new
pipe (which is originally flexible) is now rigid resulting in a
strong tough pipe tightly fitted within the existing pipe with the
minimum loss of cross section.
The drain relining system is manufactured from a
special dense impermeable felt and is designed and tailored to fit
exactly the internal dimension of the pipe to be refurbished. The
thickness of the drain relining material can be varied according
to the design specification required. A special resin containing
an activating catalyst and hardener is impregnated into the drain
relining tube prior to installation.
Drain relining is suitable for drains, sewers and
vertical down pipes. It can also be used to seal tanks, chambers
and manholes to name but a few.
A drain run which has a root infiltration problem
can, in most cases, be repaired. The roots are first removed using
a machine and then, subject to further surveying, a liner introduced
which once set produces a new pipe. There are no joints in the liner
so roots are no longer able to penetrate into the system. The liner
is generally stronger than the existing pipe therefore further deterioration
in the old pipe has no effect once the line is relined
Pipes with displaced joints, open joints, multiple
cracking or even collapsed pipes can be successfully relined without
the need to excavate.

Roof drainage gullies that run down through high
rise buildings, such as a block of flats, can also be relined avoiding
the need to break open walls or tiled surfaces.
The relining method is tried and tested and is the preferred method
of renovation to drainage system the world over.
Providing that good access is available at both
ends of the pipe requiring relining, PIPETEK SL can save you lengthy
excavation works and repair your drainage in a fraction of the time.

"Excavation to renew damaged drain pipes can, in most cases,
be a thing of the past? Most problems can now be overcome by the
relining method"
A liner is impregnated with resin, pulled through
a section of damaged drain and then inflated using an air inversion
machine and calibration hose. Additives within the resin cause the
liner to set thus leaving a new, stronger and seamless pipe installed.

The cost of digging holes is enormous.
This technique reduces and, under most conditions, dispenses with
the need to excavate. The cost to 'line' is thus a very attractive
alternative. We provide fixed costs so all parties know their budgets
prior to work commencing.
During drain lining the drain is pre-cleaned
and a CCTV survey undertaken, prior to, and post lining.
The liner is prepared and installed
from manhole access points and when completed, the drain is ready
for use - very simple, quick and with little disruption to residents
etc. We are the only local contractor to undertake this kind of
work.
